Accolade mobile product visiontype

Project Description

Visiontypes are a great way to present a picture of a future experience without ever writing any code. This visiontype was produced to show a rough sketch (very rough) of how the Accolade app could progress in a not-so-distant future.

After several attempts at aligning senior product leadership with product teams, engineering, and business and user goals, I built this visiontype to try to better explain a more holistic approach to the Accolade app product experience. The consumer app was segmented into ownership by several product teams, so aligning their goals and roadmaps was really important.

Accolade consumer app concept

At the time I produced this figma prototype, I was positioning it as a high-fidelity wireframe at best. It has some light interface design, but the point was to get across how different aspects of the whole business could be presented in areas that made the most sense for the user.

Engagement on the app is incredibly low, so starting with the data to figure out where people spend time on solving healthcare problems, what their mindset is if they are trying to solve a billing issue vs. trying to get an appointment, are imperative factors in helping people engage and find what they are looking for.

This concept shows some personalization, picking up information already existing in their PCP database, “cross-selling” of features or tools that would be of benefit to the user, etc. It also presents certain features that leadership thought were important as well in a context that might make the most sense to a patient.
